Live blogging: blogging strategies with students

This is an interesting discussion, but I have to add the question: why are we still talking about getting permission of administrators and parents to use blogging with out students? Now that blogging is nearing the decade mark, why do we think of this technology as so outside?
Just a thought…

Live blogging from EdubloggerCon in Denver

After a number of problems getting here, Mike and I are at ITSE 2010! Sadly, our bargain hotel failed in providing me power to charge up my trusty MacBook, so I will be live blogging via the iPad 3G.
This really my first attempt to do any extensive writing via the iPadq, so excuse any spelling [...]

In the start of the presentation, Philippe talked about a live presentation he did from Seattle to Texas on Monday.  http://bit.ly/aZm03C   He goes on to talk [...]

Good morning Seattle!  Mike and I are kickin’ it at NCCE 2010 in Seattle, Washington at “Moodle Under the Hood” with Great Falls Public Schools (Great Falls, Montana… my home town and our closest neighbor).
I will take notes below, with my own comments in ALL CAPS (I loves me the screamin’).
Jeff’s notes are here.

Weblogg-ed » Continuing the Educon Conversation
Will Richardson has created a form asking: “What are the ‘big’ conversations that schools should be having in relation to the ‘tectonic’ shifts that are occuring with social learning online?”

iPad… initial reactions…

Wow.
There is a lot of smart about this device and it was about what I expected.  The iPhone OS, the minimalistic storage and the limited connection options make this an overgrown iPhone/iPod Touch was all something I assumed.
What makes this a gamechanger is the price.  For $499, you get a million devices in one.  I [...]
