On my radar: it's time to tackle ebooks and the textbook problem…

I am traveling to the West Coast and the South for the holiday break this year.  The trip itself means that I don’t really have the money for a delightful end-of-the-year gadget purchase but nonetheless, I am fairly committed to purchasing some kind of electronic book reader in the next month.
