Tech-Savvy Teacher HowTo: Easy, Narrated Slideshows Using Free Tools

At my new job in Montana’s virtual school, I have been looking for quick, easy ways for teachers to be able to share quick bits of content using largely free tools so teachers can use the tools in an unlimited way on their personal and school computers without much ado.  I’d like to share the [...]

Google expanding file saving in Google Docs….does this matter yet?

Google announced today that it is allowing users to upload any file to their Google Docs service. http://bit.ly/4rqh3q This is great that they are expanding their services, but they are late to the game on this one.  We have raved about Dropbox http://bit.ly/6uIy6E before, but Google’s announcement reinforces how currently, Dropbox is in a class [...]

Starting from Scratch with "Scratch"

As a child of the sixties color TV was a big thing. At the time there were only three networks, no cable, and as kids we were allowed to watch TV after homework was finished. Part of network programming during the early sixties was “prime-time” cartoons, like the Flintstones. I was instantly hooked, and fell [...]
